Who is the player? “touchpadwarrior” is a content creator on TikTok, YouTube and Twitch. He has been playing WoW with a touchpad and keyboard but no mouse for 17 years. This is how he impresses his viewers.
He uploaded a clip to TikTok in which he presented his style of play. The clip currently has 1.4 million views, over 101,000 likes and 700 comments.

What’s impressive about the gameplay? Usually in World of Warcraft you use the mouse to perform various actions. You use it to control the camera, interact with objects and NPCs, attack enemies and click through the menu.
touchpadwarrior controls his mouse cursor with his left hand, although he is right-handed, he says in the video. He executes the other commands and actions with his right hand. He has set his cursor to the highest sensitivity, also in the game.
In the video, touchpadwarrior explains that he uses his left thumb to press the buttons under the touchpad. With his right thumb he dodges sideways and moves back and forth.
“Using a mouse now feels awkward”
How did he get into it? In the comments below the TikTok video, touchpadwarrior writes: “The only computer in my parents’ house that could also process the third installation CD of WoW was a laptop.”
Several users ask him why he didn’t switch to keyboard and mouse at some point and whether it wasn’t really complicated to play like that – especially for 17 years. In the video he says: “It’s not complicated in my head.” He got used to it.
In a comment, he writes: “It’s my weird, favorite method. Using a mouse now feels awkward to me.”

At the end of the clip, he states that he is not and does not intend to be a Top Tier World of Warcraft player. His goal is to make his viewers laugh, entertain and make their viewers’ days “a little less shitty”.
