Announced at the start of the week, the arrival of a new episode of The Witcher is making a lot of talk about it, in particular because of this image revealed alongside the reveal. For many fans, it is not a wolf that is represented on this medallion, but another animal… Some spoke of a cat, others of a puma, but one thing is certain, it is a feline. We therefore had to wait for the intervention of Robert Malinowski, Global Communication Director at CD Projekt Red, with our colleagues from Eurogamer to find out that it is actually a lynx. Revelations that have shaken the convictions of The Witcher lovers, whether in novels or video games, since the school of the lynx does not exist in The Witcher lore, if not through fan fiction. According to this, this school of the lynx was built on the ashes of the School of the Cat by a collaboration between Lambert and Kiera Metz. This therefore suggests that CD Projekt Red is ready to deviate from the official stories to seek new stories from fans.
If Robert Malinowski did not wish to shed more light on this subject, it is not impossible that CD Projekt Red takes its liberties with the works written by Andrzej Sapkowski. The opportunity to start a new saga / trilogy, to ignore Geralt de Riv to offer a whole new character. Many see it as the moment to put Ciri center stage, while others want to see an all-new witcher appear.
