The colony simulation RimWorld is one of the best rated games on Steam. Out of over 151,000 reviews, 98% are positive. The sandbox tells fantastic stories. Now the boss has announced: There is a 4th expansion coming.

What is RimWorld?

  • RimWorld is a simulation in which players control the members of a colony on a hostile planet and have to contend with a narrative AI that regularly unleashes new disasters on the players: bandits, underground aliens, plagues, cannibals, volcanic ash, Pig people with machine guns, everything like that.
  • RimWorld was released in 2018 and is considered a unique gaming experience because exciting stories are constantly created through random mechanics. The player is presented with problems that he has to solve.
  • RimWorld is essentially a role-playing game mixed with a building game. It is permeated by bitter humor and an “anything goes if it makes sense” mentality.     Some people say: RimWorld is such a blast in itself that people haven’t bought any DLCs yet. We would have spent 300 hours on the basic game. People are waiting for a sale for the DLCs – but RimWorld simply never goes on sale on Steam.
