On the side, there was a proud father in it Petter Myhlbackformer head coach in the Swedish national ski team, who cried when he saw his son step onto the podium in the classic Vasaloppet.
– I’m like him, but a little more gentle. But it’s only joy, I’m so damn proud of him, says father Myhlback to SVT.
– He never ceases to amaze, it’s completely insane.
Dad’s criticism
But he also criticizes his son for the foolhardy decision to withdraw early in the race.
– I am more proud now than when he stung this morning. He’s having a good day and why should he swamp it like that and stick after three kilometers. Complete hole in the head!, says Petter to the TV channel.
