Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence in society, is one of the sexual problems experienced by men over a certain age. Researchers in Australia claim to have developed a nasal spray to combat erectile dysfunction.
EFFECTS IN FIVE MINUTES
The researchers report that the nasal spray works in as little as five minutes, meaning it could be a bedroom game-changer for millions of men struggling to get and maintain an erection.
EXPECTED TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE THAN PILLS
“Our nasal delivery bypasses the digestive system, so it really goes directly into the bloodstream and takes effect within five to 15 minutes,” Lee Rodne, chairman of the board of biotech company LTR Pharma, told Australia on Monday. “We expect it to be much more effective than oral tablets so that it consistently works faster so men don’t have to plan ahead and have variable results,” she adds.
Although Viagra is one of the most popular remedies for erectile dysfunction, it usually takes 30 to 60 minutes to kick in. The researchers think the results of the nasal spray will be successful and want the product to enter the US market by 2025.
BOTOX INJECTIONS ALSO HAVE EFFECT
By the way, it is known that the nasal spray is not the only product that may soon challenge Viagra. A study done late last year found that Botox injections applied directly to the penis provide a “clear benefit” for men suffering from erectile dysfunction.
