Not content with having been the best launch of a PlayStation Studios game with its 5.1 million copies sold in the space of 5 days, God of War Ragnarök has just set a new record, that of having crossed the threshold of 11 million copies in less than 3 months. Proof that the license has never been so popular. For comparison, the first God of War (2018) took a full year to surpass the symbolic 10 million sales mark, while The Last of Us Part 2 needed 2 years to reach this stage. . Suffice to say that such a success opens up even more the field of possibilities for a new episode which could well start on a new mythology. For many, Kratos could well be heading to Egypt, knowing that the developers at Santa Monica Studios had already considered it before setting their sights on Norse mythology. What continue to maintain a certain hype around the license.
We’re incredibly humbled that #GodofWarRagnarok has officially sold through 11 million copies!
None of this would be possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for coming on this journey with us! pic.twitter.com/7KlAT9eddG
