All travelers coming to Italy from China will be tested for covid from Wednesday. This is stated by Health Minister Orazio Schillaci.
The tests are introduced after the rampant spread of infection in China in combination with Beijing’s announcement that from January 8 it will remove the quarantine requirement for entry.
Even travelers who only have a stopover in Italy are covered by the mandatory tests.
Italy was the first country in Europe to suffer from a large spread of covid and the first in the world to implement a national lockdown.
