Italy sends relief supplies to Gaza News in brief

Humanitarian aid is transported to Gaza via Cyprus.

Italy will deliver more than 15 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, says the Italian Ministry of Defense in its press release.

An Italian Air Force plane took off from the city of Pisa on Saturday. The plane’s destination is Larnaca Airport in Cyprus. From there, the humanitarian aid is transferred to the Gaza Strip aboard an aid ship.

In the past, aid ships to Gaza have pulled behind them a barge loaded with humanitarian aid.

The charity organization Confederazione Nazionale delle Misericordie d’Italia is behind the humanitarian aid delivered to civilians in Gaza.

Defense secretary Guido Crosetto commented on Saturday, according to the news agency Reuters, that Italy is doing everything possible to alleviate the suffering of the civilian population of Gaza.

Italy has actively participated in assisting the Gazan civilians.

Earlier this year, Italy launched a project called Food for Gaza.

With the help of the project, for example, flour and rice have been delivered to the civilians of Gaza.

Gaza is suffering from a serious humanitarian crisis due to Israel’s military operations.
