Young people arrested outside the district court – sentenced
Two boys who were arrested outside the Attunda district court in Stockholm this spring have been convicted of preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences.
The boys, who are now 16 and 18 years old respectively, were arrested outside the district court with a loaded firearm. The 16-year-old is sentenced to closed youth care for one year and three months, while the 18-year-old, who was 17 at the time, is sentenced to closed youth care for one year and eight months.
Their plan was to shoot dead a gang criminal man with connections to a criminal network in Farsta in southern Stockholm.
Another four people are sentenced for preparation for murder and involvement of a minor in crime. Among other things, they allegedly picked up the 16-year-old from a HVB home where he was placed and planned the murder together with the young people.
Lena Hjelmtorp, former chief councilor at Attunda district court, states that if the young people had not been arrested by the police outside the district court, the risk would have been high that they would have shot the intended victim, through an execution.

Ryanair sues ‘disturbing’ 170,000 passengers
Ryanair is suing a passenger for “disruptive behaviour” on a flight between Dublin and Lanzarote last April.
Exactly what the passenger did is unclear, but the flight was forced to land in Porto and the 160 travelers were allowed to continue to Lanzarote only the following day. Now Ryanair is suing the passenger for 15,000 euros, the equivalent of 170,000 kroner, for what it calls “unjustifiable behavior”.
The sum must correspond to what the airline had to pay for the unexpected landing as well as extra accommodation costs and expenses for the passengers who had to spend the night in Porto, the company writes in a press release.
