While the head of the Italian government claims to want to stop the illegal arrivals of migrants, since the start of the year, 11,000 people have arrived in the country. And those who wish to seek asylum there must normally be supported by Italy. The budgets allocated for their care have fallen drastically in recent years. The reception in large structures of hundreds of people has become widespread. However, for years, the diffuse reception has proven its worth. Behind this literal translation from Italian “ accoglienza diffusiona ”, is the idea of care on a human scale, in independent housing. It is increasingly being studied by small communities to repopulate them, particularly those inland.
