(Telestock) – Italo confirms synergy with SNAVthe well-known maritime transport company, in the name of connectivity and network expansion. The two companies have in fact announced the extension of the “Together, Everywhere” initiative until the end of the yearlaunched last June.

The initiative includes the union of the Italo and SNAV brands: some Italo trains will have SNAV ferries depicted on the side and SNAV vehicles will set sail with an Italo train prominently displayed on their livery.

It’s about the first step towards the birth of a network which will offer a extensive and widespread serviceallowing an increasingly demanding group of travellers to connect the most popular Italian tourist locations.

Italo currently serves the main Italian cities and the most important places of cultural, economic and artistic interest in the country, including port cities such as Naples. A service extended by Itabuswhich offers intermodal train plus bus services with a single ticket and guarantees capillarity throughout the Italian territory. SNAV connects via fast units Naples with Capri, Ischia, Procida, the Aeolian Islands (Stromboli, Panarea, Salina, Vulcano and Lipari) and the Pontine Islands (Ventotene and Ponza) and Ancona with Split.
The union of the two services will guarantee a smarter travel solutionable to ensure frequency and flexibility without having to worry about the car and parking.

“We are constantly studying integrated and sustainable mobility solutions to facilitate the travel of our travellers. – declares the marketing management of Italo – Italy is full of wonders that can be reached by train, bus or sea; integrating these means allows us to bring citizens and numerous tourists, including foreign ones, to discover our country. The synergy with SNAV fits into this logic, a first step to extend our network”.

“We are truly enthusiastic about the prospects that this synergy will offer and we are confident that together with Italo we will be able to redefine the standards of the passenger transport sector”, the commercial management of SNAV, adding “the birth of the strategic partnership between the two carriers is aimed at developing and optimising the customer experience thanks to the offer of an integrated transport service throughout the country and characterised by increasingly higher standards. Our first objective will be the optimisation of routes and travel times, foreseeing a reduction in waiting times between trains, buses and fast units for all Italo, Itabus and SNAV passengers”.
