Italian police Lamborghini stopped by Swedish police

In Sweden, the police usually drive fairly ordinary cars, mainly from Volvo.

In Italy, however, it’s a different story. Namely, a Lamborghini Urus Performante SUV is included in the police vehicle fleet.

The car is currently in Sweden, and has been stopped by the police in Södertälje.

Stopped by Swedish police

The spectacular car painted in the blue and white color theme of the Italian police force caused quite a stir when it rolled through Stockholm on Tuesday, reports Aftonbladet.

On the way to Stockholm, the car should also have been stopped by the police in Södertälje.

After it became clear that the Italian police had permission to drive the car in Sweden from NOA (the police’s national operational department), the Swedish police let their foreign colleagues drive on.

Is in Sweden for charity

It later turned out that charity was the reason for the Italian police’s visit to Sweden.

– It is the case that a tour is carried out to promote an adventurous trip for children with disabilities. It’s some kind of charity, they have to answer for the details, says Buster Mirow of the police’s national media center.

Partnership with Lamborghini

The fact that the Italian police have such a fast and expensive car as the Lamborghini Urus is due to a 20-year partnership with the supercar brand.

In the past, Italian police have had mid-engine models from Lamborghini such as the Huracán and Gallardo in their stable.

The Suven Urus is undeniably better suited as a police car than low, two-seater sports cars, and the fact that they have now switched to this model thus seems logical.

One of the world’s fastest SUVs

The Lamborghini Urus is one of the world’s most expensive and fastest SUVs, with a twin-turbo V8 under the hood. It is also the brand’s first model in the category.

The price tag is close to 3 million Swedish kronor.

This is how our tester described the Lamborghini Urus S when he test drove the car in France earlier this year:

If you have your sights set on attention and design, the Lamborghini Urus is an excellent choice. It is also pleasant to drive, with adequate performance and a high level of comfort.
