The football player Paul Pogba’s sample contained testosterone, according to the Italian media.
Juventus star player Paul Pogba has given a positive doping sample that contained testosterone. The matter was reported by, among others, an Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport mixed Media set.
According to both media, Pogba tested positive for doping after the match between Udinese and Juventus on August 20. Pogba sat on the bench for the match.
Mediaset says that Pogba is temporarily suspended and has three days to request an analysis of the B sample.
Pogba celebrated the World Cup in 2018 in a France shirt. He has also achieved four Italian championships in his career with Juventus.
After the championships, Pogba moved from Juventus to Manchester United in 2016 for the then world record sum – 105 million euros.
In recent years, the Frenchman has had several serious injuries. He returned to Juventus last summer from Manchester United, but played only six games at that time.
