Italian Exhibition Group president Lorenzo Cagnoni has died

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), a company listed on Euronext Milan and leader in Italy in the organization of international trade fair events, announced that President Lorenzo Cagnoni passed away today. Born in Rimini in 1939, married and father of two daughters, Cagnoni was a point of reference for the city of Romagna and for the entire panorama of congresses and exhibitions at a national level.

From 1966 to 1983 he was Councilor for Scholastic Services, Health, Finance and Budget and Economic Activities of the Municipality of Rimini and from 1983 to 1989 he held the position of deputy mayor.

Since 1995 president of Rimini Fairled the development of the company and in 2016 became president of the Italian Exhibition Group, the company born from the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza, which has been listed on the Piazza Affari since June 2019.

From 1999 to 2015, he was also a member of the Steering Committee of theUFI – the world association of international trade fair organizers – and since 2001 he has been vice president AEFI extension – the association of Italian exhibitions and fairs.

IEG has announced that the board of directors will see to the integration of the board and the appointment of the new chairman in accordance with the provisions of the law and the articles of association in force. Cagnoni is the owner of 13,000 IEG shares.
