Italgas purchase of 2nd gas network by March

(Finance) – In the light of today’s measure and the authorizations Golden Power and Foreign Subsidies Regulation already achieved, Italgas “will proceed with the closing of the operation with the closure of the first quarter”.

With the closing of the operation, we read in the note, “the group becomes the European gas distribution sample. Starting from the second quarter italgas will start the integration process of 2i Gas Rete, in advance of the forecasts, thus giving full realization to the 15.6 billion euros of investments contained in the strategic plan 2024-2030”.

In the coming months, together with 2i Gas network, the group “will give priority to corporate integration and information systems, the digitization of the network and processes to achieve the first important synergies in line with the strategic plan, at the same time starting the first large scale applications of artificial intelligence”.
