(Finance) – The commitments undertaken by Ita Airways in relation to the programs of fleet increase for 2023when it is expected that 39 new generation aircraft enter service. Of these, 9 wide bodies (A330-900) and 30 narrow bodies, with the simultaneous release of the older generation aircraft currently in service. The actual increase in capacity in terms of seats offered per km is 73% compared to 2022.
In the 2023when the fleet will consist of 96 aircraft and half of the new generation, Ita will open new long-haul destinations from Rome Fiumicino to San Francisco and Washingtonstarting from the summer season, with Rio de Janeiro in twelve months.
The new A321Neo will be deployed on the routes operated from Rome Fiumicino with the Middle East, including Riyadh, Jeddah and Kuwait City.
