ITA Airways the new seasonal flight Genoa Olbia is on sale

(Finance) – Ita Airwaysthe leading Italian airline, announces the opening of sales for the new seasonal flight Genoa-Olbia. The new connection is operational from 20 July to 31 August 2024 according to the following schedule: Genoa-Olbia: every Saturday with departure from Genoa at 3.20pm and arrival in Sardinia at 4.40pm; Olbia-Genoa: every Saturday with departure from Olbia at 5.30pm and arrival in the Ligurian capital at 6.35pm.
The opening of the new connection between Genoa airport and Olbia in the summer season contributes to strengthen ITA Airways’ offer to Genoa and is added to the 4 daily frequencies already operated by the Company on Rome Fiumicino which, through continuations, also connect the Ligurian capital with the national, international and intercontinental destinations served by its network.

Furthermore, the new flight once again demonstrates the absolute importance for ITA Airways of Sardinia and the connectivity of its territory and its citizens, which the Company undertakes to ensure by connecting the Island from Cagliari with Rome and Milan.

The connection will be made with Airbus A220, light, silent and efficient aircraft, with ideal dimensions to serve the national and European network and fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat 25% lower than the previous generation of short-haul aircraft.

In Summer 2024, ITA Airways will operate 57 destinations, of which 16 national, 26 international and 15 intercontinental. North America, Africa and the Middle East will be the markets in which ITA Airways will inaugurate direct flights from its Rome Fiumicino hub in the summer season. In detail, the new direct flight to Chicago will be launched in April and direct connections to Toronto and Riyadh in May. In June, it will be the turn of flights to Accra and Kuwait City, in July the connection to Dakar and in August the one to Jeddah. Furthermore, in the summer peak the Company will fly to 10 additional seasonal destinations, selected among the most popular Mediterranean tourism destinations, including Greece, Spain, Croatia and the Italian islands, reachable from Turin with flights via Rome Fiumicino (Rhodes, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Minorca, Heraklion, Corfu, Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Split and Kefalonia).
