(Finance) – Four Airbus A350-900s will join the Ita Airways fleet from next June. The company will take them for rent from Alafco, an aircraft rental company based in Kuwait. The A350-900s will be deployed on long-haul routes operated from Rome Fiumicino. The four will be joined by another two, leased by the manufacturer Airbus.
In 2022, the Ita Airways fleet will consist of 77 aircraft, 14 of which (the aforementioned 6 A350 leased) and 8 A330 ex Alitalia on intercontinental routes. On the domestic and international routes there are: 17 Airbus A319 and 28 A320 ex Alitalia and 18 A320neo, leased.
