NASA engineers plan that the Orion spacecraft will take humans to the Moon with the Artemis-3 mission. Engineers detected a malfunction in the integrated engine controls of the SLS, which will carry the spacecraft into space during the test flight to be made in March.
WORKED AGAIN
After rectifying the fault, the engine controls on the panel returned to working condition and performed well in tests.
With the test flight, called the Artemis-1 mission, NASA will launch the Orion spacecraft towards the Moon.
If all goes as planned, the Artemis-3 mission, which will take humans to the Moon for the first time after the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, will take place in 2025.
NASA, which is training a group of astronauts to fly the Orion spacecraft, has not yet announced who will be on the crew that will go to the Moon.
