At least that’s what the Hunger Games – The Hunger Games films show, which brought the Hunger Games books by Suzanne Collins to the screen from 2012 and is considered by many fans to be one of the best sci-fi sagas of all time. In the world of Panem, a tyrannical government forces its poorest districts to send youth to the capital for the deadly Hunger Games every year. Young Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) takes on the murderous burden in place of her little sister and faces her teenage opponents in battle. Amid the bloodshed, she develops tender feelings for her district partner, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson).

Katniss’ participation in the bloody competition eventually culminates in open rebellion against the ruthless Panem system. The Hunger Games will begin this year revealed with the prequel The Hunger Games – The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. There the later Panem president and villain Snow (Tom Blyth) prepares his fighter Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler) for the arena.

So if you want to review the celebrated sci-fi series before the prequel, you can do so for a short time on Amazon Prime. The streamer does not reveal exactly how long the four films will remain on offer. But you will disappear within the next 30 days.
