It will be the most expensive to live here in 2024 – costs may increase by 12,800

Living and staying in Sweden has become significantly more expensive in recent years and it will get worse. In 2024, the annual cost is expected to increase further, and some of the people who risk being hit hard are families with children, says Länsförsäkringar’s private economist Stefan Westerberg.

Over the past two years, the average annual cost for a family of two adults and two children has increased by SEK 110,000, to SEK 460,000. When the private economist visited TV4 he told which expenses are expected to rise further in the coming year.

– It’s a lot about interest, electricity bills, clothes, shoes and food. It is a huge item for families with children in particular, he said at the time.

Here it will be the most expensive for families with children in 2024

But where are the costs expected to rise the most for families with children? It mainly concerns three counties where the costs are expected to rise between SEK 9,830 up to SEK 12,882.

  • Stockholm County: + SEK 12,882 more in annual costs
  • Halland County: + SEK 10,056 more in annual cost
  • Skåne County: + SEK 9,830 more in annual cost

Here the annual cost increases the least

The counties where costs are expected to increase the least are mainly three counties in the northern parts of the country.

  • Norrbotten County: + SEK 6,160 more in annual cost
  • Jämtland County: + SEK 5,799 more in annual cost
  • Västernorrland County: + SEK 5,588 more in annual cost
  • – These are very large costs, of course. It will basically eat up the extra we will get in the wallet next year. The costs will unfortunately lead to us not having increased purchasing power next year, says Westerberg to TV4.
