Guardians of the Galaxy 3 brings to a close this year a Marvel journey that began in 2014. James Gunn returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe one last time to join the Guardians before he finally devotes himself to his new duties as DC boss emotional finale to bring. It’s not the only farewell.

Actor Dave Bautista will also not appear in the MCU after Guardians of the Galaxy 3. In a big interview with GQ he talks about his Marvel exit and looks back on his time as Drax the Destroyer. While he loves the role, he’s relieved that this period of his career is now coming to an end.

I really wish they had invested more in Drax. I think there’s a lot more to tell with Drax. He has a very exciting backstorybut they didn’t want to explore them.
