The highly anticipated annular solar eclipse has begun. The eclipse, which cannot be watched from Turkey, was observed in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. 1 hour and 20 minutes after the beginning of the partial eclipse, the Moon passed directly in front of the Sun and formed the ring of fire. The eclipse, which started at 09.36 local time, ended at 12.51. Authorities warned against looking directly at the sun with the naked eye during a solar eclipse.
NASA LAUNCHED A ROCKET FOR OBSERVATION
On the other hand, in the statement made by the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), it was stated that three probe rockets were launched to examine how the decrease in sunlight during the eclipse affects the Earth’s atmospheric layer called ionosphere.
