A team of scientists from Australia and Chile found striking details about the extremely bright and massive quasar called “J0529-4351”, as a result of their observations with the help of telescopes in the Atacama Desert in Chile.
After research, astronomers concluded that this quasar, which is 500 trillion times brighter than the Sun, may be the “brightest object in the universe.”
THE BLACK HOLE AT THE CENTER IS 17 TO 19 BILLION TIMES THE SIZE OF THE SUN
Noting that the quasar in question is located 12 billion light years away from the Earth, astronomers also determined that the mass of the black hole at the center of the object is 17 to 19 billion times that of the Sun.
Details of the research were published in the journal “Nature Astronomy”. (AA)
