According to FlightAware, which shares statistics on air transportation, severe storms that caused property damage in the northeastern region, where the US population is dense, led to the delay or cancellation of more than 2,000 flights. It was stated that 1241 domestic and international flights were delayed due to adverse weather conditions, and 828 flights were cancelled.

At Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey, while the waiting rooms were full of passengers whose flights were canceled or delayed, families who could not find an empty seat made beds on the floor with their children and slept.

Similar situations were reported at LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy airports in New York and Logan airports in Boston.
Due to weather conditions and problems with air traffic control personnel, more than 8,000 flights were canceled or delayed in the same region of the country yesterday.
