Tom Holland is one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood. After all, as Spider-Man he plays one of the most popular superhero characters in a successful film series. However, it often happens that he is confused with another actor because of his last name, namely his compatriot Tom Hollander.
Hollander played his best-known role to date as a villain Lord Cutler Beckett in the blockbuster double act Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3. As it turns out, he briefly had the same agent as Holland. This led to an embarrassing situation when the wrong payslip was sent.

As Variety reports, Pirates of the Caribbean star Tom Hollander was recently a guest on Late Night Show with Seth Meyers and unpacked the anecdote about Tom Holland, the Marvel star:
The accounting people at my agency messed something up. [Tom Holland und ich] were briefly with the same agent. It was a terrible moment. I was visiting my friend who was doing theater in England. I sat smugly in the audience, having just made a BBC series for $30,000 or so that would get me through the next year […] then the break came and I checked my emails and got one from the agency saying: ‘Receipt of payment for the first bonus for The Avengers.’

At this point Holland became irritated. He was never involved in an Avengers film, nor did he expect such a large sum:
It was an amazing amount of money. It wasn’t his salary. It was his first box office bonus. Not the entire bonus, just the first one. And it was more money than I ever had [gesehen] had. It was a seven-figure sum.
