Dream Studios at Disney+ turns Inside Out into a workplace sitcom

The plot of Traum Studios takes place between the two Inside Out films. This time it’s not the five emotions that are the main characters, but rather the team from the film studio Dream Productions, which runs the series in the style of a workplace mockumentary – like The Office, Parcs and Recreation or Abbott Elementary – follows.

In Riley Andersen’s head, a whole team of filmmakers is responsible for cinematic dreams from different genressuch as comedy, action, romance or even horror. This includes acclaimed director Paula Persimmon, who reluctantly teams up with conceited daydream director Xeni to create a new hit. Chaos is inevitable.

Anyone who watches the dream factory series in the English language version will also hear some familiar voices. In addition to some new speakers, there are also the familiar Inside Out 2 speakers Kensington Tallman (Riley), Amy Poehler (Joy), Liza Lapira (Disgust), Phyllis Smith (Sadness), Lewis Black (Anger) and Tony Hale (Fear) back again.
