Tumblr, a versatile social media platform where both photo and video content can be shared, has been blocked in Turkey.
According to the news of DisableWeb, Tumblr, which is mainly used by young people, has been blocked by the decision of the Kusadasi Criminal Court of Peace dated November 9 and numbered 2022/3144.

Tumblr recently announced that it has lifted the ban on obscene content introduced in 2018. Tumblr will start allowing such content again four years after announcing that it bans obscene content. Obscene, adult, and sexually-themed content should be fine as long as it’s tagged with community tags, a system Tumblr rolled out in September, according to the company. However, visual depictions of sexual acts will continue to be prohibited on Tumblr.
The rest of Tumblr’s content policies will remain the same and hate, spam, violent threats or anything illegal will still not be allowed.
