After director Zack Snyder (300) repeatedly had to struggle with creative interference from studios throughout his career, Netflix apparently gave him carte blanche for Rebel Moon. He plans to take full advantage of this freedom of action: Rebel Moon 1 will be followed by the sequel Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scar Maker in April 2024. According to a conversation with the Hollywood Reporter He is currently working on Rebel Moon 3.
And that’s not all. In The Nerd Queens interview, Zack Snyder revealed plans for an animated short film and a video game. Compared to Total Film he spoke of an animated series and his own podcast. A prequel comic will be released in spring 2024, according to an X message from Snyder.
