Arnold Schwarzenegger has had an incomparable career. From bodybuilder to actor to respected politician, the Austrian has achieved every goal he set his mind to. He didn’t just become a Terminator Action movie icon. Of course, with so many roles and such a long time, not every project was a big hit. But there is one film that he believes was truly underrated. This pearl has now also found its fans.

The actor spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about his career, successes and failures. In it, Arnie also showed a more vulnerable side. The question was also asked in the interview: which role was most underestimated. For Schwarzenegger there was a clear answer: Jack Slater in Last Action Hero. Arnold Schwarzenegger still loves Last Action Hero
Schwarzenegger is still convinced by the film to this day. He sees his opinion as supported by the incomethat the film still generates today, more than 20 years later:
Last Action Hero was great – it wasn’t fantastic, but it was underrated. Now more and more people are seeing it and saying, ‘I love this movie.’ I get the rest of the checks so I know it’s true.
Even today, not everyone may agree that Last Action Hero was a great film. But few films manage to at the same time a parody and a good representative of its own genre to be. And Last Action Hero manages this balancing act with flying colors. Besides – who wouldn’t have wanted to see a complete version of Hamlet from the trailer in the film?
