It’s simple, those who tested it experienced a real fall into the void at 90 degrees.
In leisure parks, thrill-seekers will undoubtedly agree that a good attraction must tick several boxes (speed, free falls, but also the surprise effects which provide a certain adrenaline…). In general, their instinct is to spot the most impressive roller coasters, those with dizzying slopes, loops and sharp turns. When they get off the ride, finally, they must be able to say to themselves that it was a unique experience. A few attractions provide this type of thrill, and one of them is even nicknamed “the creepiest attraction in the world” by some people who have tested it.
The ride in question is located overseas, and more precisely in Lihpao Land Park, in Taiwan. It is a huge themed leisure complex, divided into three zones. In one of them, there is a famous roller coaster: Gravity Max. Inaugurated in 2002, it was at the time the first in the world to offer a 90-degree tilting section. As we can see in the video at the top of the article, shared by the Instagram account @adrenalina_________milgrau, the passengers are seated in a carriage which stops for a few seconds halfway on the track before tilting vertically, thus plunging the most daring into a sensation of free fall at 90 degrees.
The wagon then clings to the rail before continuing on its way. “It was perfect (…) I noticed that the only part of my body that touched the train was my feet; my torso was floating perfectly between the seat and the harness”comments a user on the Reddit forum about Gravity Max.
The journey does not end there, after this moment suspended in the void, passengers cross a vertical loop of 26.8 meters and reach a maximum speed of 90.1 km/h. Enough to end the experience in style! In any case, know that this attraction is very popular in Taiwan with visitors for its innovative concept and its intense sensations.
