If many villages in France are renowned for their sweetness of life, far from the stress of big cities, some accumulate all the superlatives, being awarded the label “most beautiful villages of France” for the richness of their heritage, their art of living and their exceptional landscapes …

This charming village did not steal its nickname “Riviera Limousine”. It benefits from a particularly soft and sunny microclimate which Recalls that of the Mediterranean Riviera thanks to its geographical location, nestled in a valley sheltered from the winds and bathed in sun. A climate sweetness which favored the cultivation of the strawberry from the beginning of the 20th century, allowing the population to settle in this valley. Renowned for their taste quality, these red fruits have become the essential local specialty in the whole region.

Last holder of the title of “Most Beautiful Villages of France” in the Department of Corrèze, this medieval city nestled on the banks of the Dordogne breathes the sweetness of life. It must be said that a winning ride, these traditional flat-bottomed boats, will make you live a timeless time.
