According to Deadline sources, Janet McTeer is said to be in talks for the McGonagall role in the upcoming reboot. In the films, the figure was shaped by the performance of the actress Maggie Smith, who died in 2024.
The 63-year-old McTeer can go to one long acting career look back with films like Tideland and Hannah Arendt. Netflix fans may know as Helen Pierce from the successful Ozark series.
