The rescue service is searching for the man with the help of sea and air rescue and has, among other things, sent out hovercraft, helicopter and scooter to search.
The man is said to have gone out on the ice on foot to get from Bondön to a cabin on Stenskär, a distance of about one mile, Piteå newspaper.
Rescue services have found a bicycle and tracks that lead out onto the ice. Relatives have reported the man as missing, reports SVT News Norrbotten.
