Those who think that sexuality is only a union with the genitals are mistaken. Hasty behaviors during sexual intercourse cause the pleasure from sex to decrease considerably and become boring over time. There are many couples who get divorced just for this reason. According to experts, foreplay, which makes sexuality more enjoyable, is important for biological, psychological and emotional reasons. What should be the ideal duration of foreplay required for both parties?
MEN AND WOMEN CAN HAVE DIFFERENT VIEWS OF SEXUALITY
There are many differences between men and women when it comes to sexuality. Men are generally more easily aroused, while women may take a little longer to warm up. For this reason, it is necessary to adjust the duration of foreplay, which is the preparation stage for sexual intercourse. A study published in the journal Sex Research investigated the ideal duration of foreplay between both men and women.
IDEAL TIME MUCH LONGER THAN THOUGHT
The study included 152 heterosexual couples who reported their perceptions of their partner’s desired foreplay and intercourse duration, as well as their ideal duration of foreplay and intercourse. Participants also reported the duration of foreplay and intercourse they thought the opposite sex wanted. “The ideal duration of foreplay and intercourse was significantly longer than the actual duration for both sexes,” the study said.
WOMEN UNDERSTAND THIS SITUATION
Interestingly, women, but not men, significantly underestimated the length of foreplay and intercourse their partners desired. “Both men and women found that their partners’ perceptions of ideal foreplay and duration of intercourse were more strongly related to their own sexual stereotypes than their partners’ self-reported sexual desires; This suggests that people rely on sexual stereotypes when predicting their mate,” he added.
HOW LONG SHOULD FOREIGN LAST?
Both men and women say they want foreplay to last approximately the same amount, between 18 and 19 minutes. However, according to research, foreplay typically takes about 11 minutes for women and 13 minutes for men.
THINGS TO DO TO EXTEND FORE LOVE
- Many sex experts explain the power of foreplay as effective when it starts outside the bedroom. Sending cheeky messages or pictures before you head home is a surefire way to spice things up before you get started.
- Dirty talk is another lesser-known form of foreplay that has been shown to increase sexual tension, which naturally results in increased passion.
- For men, three body parts that are synonymous with increased desire from your partner include the lips, nipples, and clitoris. These are said to be some of the most sensitive body parts that guarantee a woman more than she is ready for.
- Sexologist doctor Rajan Bhonsle offers some non-sexual ways that have been proven to get things moving. These include:
- Planning a vacation together
- laugh together
- Work together
- cooking together
