Fasten your seat belts – now we’re going.
The second episode has been shown by Sweden’s master chef 2025 and I can’t help but hold on to the same feeling I had already from the first episode.
Sweden’s master chef has always been a superb program as the whole pitch is so perfect in its simplicity – you compete in cooking. All people have a relationship with food and competition on television is something we are all obsessed with. It doesn’t really matter if it’s the Olympics or a bloody sausage-eating competition on Öland in August 2024 (yes, I was there and checked, sue me), then you’re stuck.
But when it comes to television, especially reality TV, we humans like to be entertained in a little more ways than just seeing win, loss, blood sweat and tears.

The first stroke of genius that TV4 made regarding the master chef in particular was to bring in Per Morberg. The dramatic genius and emotional person who also loves food, wine and hunting.

Per’s presence in Sweden’s master chef was so entertaining that the people couldn’t get enough. The cut when he accidentally scolds the wrong guy spread like wildfire. When he liked something, poetry was written, and when he disliked something, people had to close their eyes.
Tina Nordström’s entry into Sweden’s Master Chef 2025
But one day Per quit and since then the jury has consisted of talented chefs and taste experts with a stern voice but a twinkle in their eye.
But just as a good stew can lack that sting, it has lacked HEAT. It’s good but it’s not really good. It’s good but it’s not super duper good.
This year, she who I thought was a vanilla praline, steps into the jury. Tina “Jättegott” Nordström. And she turns out to be both limitless, funny, strict and kind of… yes but a little sprinkled with some kind of BDSM aura. A real fucking dirty aunt? Who is so catty that she doesn’t really qualify as an aunt?

Tina is the Messiah we’ve been waiting for since Per Morberg and episode after episode she goes from strength to strength. I don’t even understand how she dared to make a boozy jumping penis joke on TV4 considering what the reactions would be.
But on the other hand, Per Morberg had also done that without blinking.
Boundless, incredible and lovable.
