Speaking to the British The Times, Ukrainian sources confirmed the death of the fighter pilot, nicknamed the “Ghost of Kiev”, who became one of the symbols of the resistance and allegedly shot down more than 40 Russian planes.
It has been recorded that 29-year-old Major Stepan Tarabalka died as a result of the MiG-29 jet being shot down during a dogfight with Russian planes on 13 March. According to the information given, Tarabalka was the father of a child.

While the Ukrainian authorities did not provide any further information on the subject, it was stated that the pilot’s helmet and goggles will be put up for sale in an auction to be held in London, the capital of England, in the near future.
