It grossed over 2.4 billion and is still not being continued

Christopher Nolan gave the previously mixed DC film adaptations new shine. He staged Batman as one serious and, by comic standards, realistic superheroes. Perhaps that was precisely what made the Dark Knight trilogy so successful and its incredible box office gross of 2.4 billion. Batman Begins is on TV today.

The Dark Knight is born: That’s what Batman Begins is about

Bruce Wayne witnesses this as a child robbery and murder of his parents, a trauma that still plagues him as an adult. The millionaire heir (Christian Bale) travels aimlessly until he meets the mysterious figures R’as al Ghul (Ken Watanabe) and Ducard (Liam Neeson) in Tibet. There he will be in the Ninja martial arts taughtbut he returns to Gotham City after his training.

Christian Bale as Batman

As a masked Batman, he wants to ensure law and order from now on. Technology professional Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) equips him with unusual tools, while butler Alfred (Michael Caine) provides him with moral support. With new courage to live and a goal in mind Batman cleans up the streets of Gothambut his emotional balance is soon put to the test again when his childhood sweetheart Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes) is in mortal danger. Batman faces powerful opponentsthat spread fear and terror in the big city.

Despite its mega success, the Batman trilogy will not be continued

Batman Begins had one Budget of $150 million and grossed more than twice as much. Word apparently got around about the successful production, as the following part, The Dark Knight, barely missed it billion mark along while The Dark Knight Rises cracked them (via The Numbers). Of course, the studio would have liked to ride the wave of success for longer, but Christopher Nolan rejected another part.

It was clear to him from the start that after a trilogy his dream would be fulfilled, and it there would be no reason for a fourth part. Lead actor Christian Bale supported the vision of the successful director and also rejected another part. Nolan basically wants to no longer returning to the superhero genre. In an interview about his film Oppenheimer, which was released this summer, he answered the question of whether he would ever make another superhero film with a clear and curt “No.”
