That’s what the first Rambo film with Sylvester Stallone is about, our TV tip
John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) was discharged from military service seven years ago and hasn’t known what to do with himself since then. He actually wants to visit a former comrade from the Vietnam War, but discovers that he has died as a result of his deployment and from the Agent Orange poison sprayed by the US government.
In 1981, the ex-soldier accidentally ends up in the mountain town of Hope, where he is immediately harassed by the local sheriff and his henchmen. Because they cannot drive him out of town, they take John Rambo into custody. but does not let the police violence get to him and flees and is preparing his counterattack in the woods. The local police have clearly picked a fight with the wrong person.

Sylvester Stallone in Rambo
The first Rambo is one of the best that the action genre has to offer and increases immeasurably
Rambo aka First Blood actually starts quite relaxed, but within a very short time it gets entangled in a disastrous spiral of violenceThe traumatized Vietnam veteran is anything but welcome and the police make it very clear to him. But the sadistic officers should have thought more carefully about whether they should corner the otherwise peaceful man in such a way.
When John Rambo has no choice, he resorts to what he still has left: the sheer will to survive and the violence learned in war. At some point there is no turning back and he no longer just sets traps in nature, but goes into full-blown war against the authorities. Traditionally, no prisoners are taken and the whole thing picks up so much speed that viewers’ ears are literally ringing.
