For this reason, we started our studies on what method could be applied instead of the artificial prosthesis and developed a new technique. This technique, which we have been successfully applying since 2018, was published in one of Europe’s respected scientific journals.
We do not use artificial prosthesis in the method we call ‘Hazelnut technique’, which is also included in the literature with this name. Instead, we join the pericardium together with a different suturing technique. In this way, the risk of infection, arrhythmia and re-operation is reduced in patients. “They have a more comfortable and trouble-free process after the surgery.”
