“It briefly filled a void” – Twitch streamer Unge says he was addicted to OnlyFans

The Twitch streamer and YouTuber Simon “Unge” Wiefels is actually known for Minecraft and clever investments. Now he admits that he was addicted to OnlyFans. There he would have gotten the attention he was missing in his relationship.

What’s going on at Unge right now? On the night of May 16, 2024, Unge reported on X, formerly Twitter, about three women who have been making his life difficult for years. Among other things, it was about his ex-girlfriend, with whom he was in a relationship until the beginning of 2023.

As the Twitch streamer now reveals, during this very difficult time for him he developed a real addiction to pornographic content, especially on the payment platform OnlyFans. Now he talks about the “taboo topic” to help others.

Streamer says he craves attention

How does OnlyFans actually work? OnlyFans is essentially a social network that allows content creators to monetize their profiles. For a monthly fee, subscribers can view content such as images, videos or text.
In addition to the subscription, users have the option of leaving tips or chatting in private messages with the content creators (or with their ghostwriters via SRF).

What does Unge say about OnlyFans? The Twitch streamer admits that he was addicted to pornography. The method of choice for him was the payment platform OnlyFans. He is said to have subscribed to up to 20 profiles there at the same time. A subscription costs between $4.99 and $49.99 per month.

But Unge wasn’t just concerned with consuming content on the platform. Apparently he also chatted with the OnlyFans models. He says: “Getting attention from these people briefly filled a kind of emptiness in me, a desire for recognition.”

Since money didn’t play a role for him, he was able to secure a lot of this attention, the Twitch streamer continues. However, he often felt bad afterwards. The “high” disappeared as quickly as he was able to recall it.

Addiction is “super embarrassing,” but he wants to help others

How did he get away from it? Unge suggests that he felt lonely and rejected in his relationship at the time, so he took refuge in OnlyFans. However, he managed to stop when consuming such content became a problem for his then-partner.

However, it is still difficult for him to see revealing images on social networks.

The Twitch streamer is now doing better without OnlyFans. He writes that he wants to use his post to help people who have similar problems. However, he doesn’t want to attack creators of the platform: they should just keep in mind that there are often lonely people on the other side who are looking for confirmation.

He didn’t talk about his experiences for a long time because it made him uncomfortable. In his opinion, this was “a super embarrassing addiction”. Unge received a lot of support in the comments for his courage in dealing openly with the taboo topic.
