(Finance) – In the third quarter of 2024Istat estimates a increase both the economic situation and the number of homes (+2.2%) both of usable habitable surface area (+2.4%)net of seasonal factors. This is what emerges from the Institute’s latest report, based on the authorizations to build in the residential sector. Non-residential constructioninstead, records a 6.3% drop compared to the previous quarter.
In the third quarter of the year, the estimate of the number of homes of new residential buildings, net of seasonality, is equal to 13,710 unitswhile the usable habitable surface is approx 1.17 million square meterswhile the non-residential area stands at just over 2.56 million square metres.
Positive numbers also on an annual basis: the residential sector shows an increase of both number of homes (+0.2%) is of the usable habitable surface area (+1.3%) compared to the third quarter of 2023. The surface area of non-residential buildingsin the penultimate quarter of the year, grows by 10.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
