Prime Minister of Israel From Benjamin Netanyahu the prostate gland is scheduled to be removed on Sunday, the prime minister’s office says.
According to the Chancellery, Netanyahu was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection on Wednesday, which is caused by a benign hyperplasia of the prostate gland. As a result of the inflammation, the prime minister undergoes prostatectomy.
Netanyahu underwent hernia surgery in March, while doctors fitted him with a pacemaker in July last year.
The measure is carried out at the same time that Israel, led by Netanyahu, carries out its bloody offensive in Gaza.
