The new film by Franco-Israeli filmmaker Michale Boganim hits French screens this Wednesday. Mizrahim, the forgotten of the Promised Land. The Mizrahim are, in Hebrew, the Orientals, the name given to Jews of Moroccan, Algerian, Iraqi or Yemeni origin, upon their arrival in Israel. The filmmaker, herself of Moroccan origin, looked at the fate of this community, faced with racism and discrimination that still persists today.
