Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir threatened to overthrow the government. In his statement, Ben-Gvir threatened to dissolve the coalition government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if the government did not continue the attacks on the Gaza Strip, and said, “Stopping the war = dismantling the government.”
Ben Gvir’s leader, the Otzma Yehudit Party, has 6 seats in the coalition government and manages 3 ministries in the cabinet.
If the support of the National Unity Party led by Benny Gantz continues, the Netanyahu government may continue to govern after Ben Gvir’s departure. (UAV)
