Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on ground invasion in Gaza

Israel’s military prepares for the ground offensive.
Now Defense Minister Yoav Gallant directs new threats against Hamas – and says that the operation in Gaza will be the last.
– It can last for one month, two months or three months. But in the end, Hamas will not exist, he says.

Intensified attacks, more threats and new promises to destroy Hamas. The Israeli military, the IDF, has continued to crack down on the terrorist-branded group in recent days.

During Sunday, the country’s defense minister Yoav Gallant met with the Israel Air Force to talk about the war. Among other things, he talked about the fact that the army is now stepping up its attacks on Gaza.

– Before the enemy meets the armored and infantry forces, they will meet the air force’s bombs, he says at the meeting according to The Times of Israel.

The Promise: The Last Ground Invasion in Gaza

He also talked about how the upcoming ground invasion will be the last if Israel succeeds in eliminating Hamas.

– This must be the last ground maneuver in Gaza, for the simple reason that Hamas will not exist after it, says the defense minister.

Yoav Gallant also gives, for the first time, a time frame for how long the war against Hamas could last.

– It can last for one month, two months or three months. But in the end, Hamas will not exist.

“You know how to do it”

At least 4,400 people in Gaza have died in connection with the Israeli airstrikes in response to the Hamas attack on October 7. The defense minister praised the air force’s strikes and says he has great confidence in the intensified strikes.

– My impression is that you know how to do it in a lethal, precise and high-quality way, just as it has been done until now, says Yoav Gallant.
