The Israeli armed forces said on Monday that they would carry out large-scale attacks on the positions of the Iran-backed Hezbollah organization in Lebanon.
The army did not say in more detail where the strikes will be aimed.
The Israeli military was also asked if Israel plans to launch a ground attack on Lebanon.
To this, the spokesman replied that Israel is ready to do whatever it takes to restore security to northern Israel, which is located on the border with Lebanon.
Over the past month, attacks by Hezbollah fighters and Israeli forces across the border have intensified.
