Israel warned on Sunday that escalating fighting with the extremist group Hezbollah on Lebanon’s southern border could lead to a wider regional conflict.

– Hezbollah’s growing aggressions bring us closer to a possible wider escalation, which could have serious consequences for Lebanon and the entire region, said a spokesperson for the Israeli Armed Forces in the video Daniel Hagari.

– Israel will take the necessary steps to protect its civilians until security on our border with Lebanon is secured.
