Israel struck southern parts of Syria, two people dead | News in brief

At least two people have been killed in an attack carried out by Israel in the southern parts of Syria, says the Syrian state news agency Sana, citing military sources. In addition, one person is said to have been wounded.

Word is that Israel carried out the attack late Wednesday night shortly before midnight. Syrian air defenses reportedly destroyed a number of Israeli missiles.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the attack targeted a foundation with links to armed groups supported by Iran.
