  • Israel strikes Beirut again

    Israel is carrying out attacks on southern Beirut, the Israeli military said in a statement shortly before midnight.

    “The IDF is currently conducting targeted attacks against weapons belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah that were stored under civilian buildings in the Dahieh area of ​​Beirut,” the IDF said in the statement.

    According to the IDF, residents of three residential buildings in the suburb have been warned and asked to evacuate immediately.

    At least two people were reportedly killed and nearly 80 wounded in the Israeli strike that hit a densely populated area in southern Lebanon on Friday, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.

    Media reports claim that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was the target of the Israeli attack. However, a source close to Hezbollah states that the leader of the Shia militia is “okay”.
